To start, skill cape features are now ready to be implemented into the game, finally, after all this rebuilding to reach the state which we were at before.
I'd say we're at feature parity with where we were at before the hack and former staff fumbles. As such, it is time to move back onto adding new content, which is something I'm sure you all know we love to do here quite often at RSCLegacy.
So in the jewels shop, we've marked the black, gold, and crimson partyhats as sold out. There will be no more created in the game, ever. I'm not sure if we're releasing official counts on these, but this is to be with most of our cosmetic items that we introduce. I am going to be modifying the shop further to add a counter so like 2/5 3/5 sold etc til they are sold out, to make it known exactly how many of any given item will be introduced into the game.
We've added 4 new party hats to the jewels shop. One flashes colors constantly, one is cyan colored, one is gray colored, and the last is purple colored.
We wouldn't be doing this if funding wasn't necessary to keep the game alive--right now, we're moving to make advances to security and several other things which need funding, such as spriting, advertising, and actual code development.
We've already started working on our new content for this holiday season. We'd like to get a new NPC involved in it, I believe we'll be talking to our graphics department about it shortly.
Now that we are stable and secure and have reimplemented most of the things we were missing, it's time to move forward. We have some great new content in mind, that we will be adding over the next few days and weeks to come. I really hope you guys enjoy what we got coming.
One such thing, obviously the skill capes. Each skill cape will have its own `buff' or feature, which will have something directly to do with the skill that it belongs to. The max cape will have the buffs of all of the skill capes. This, I believe, will give great benefit to maxing out all skills on an account. Some of the buffs could be seen as an unfair advantage in PvP. I'm not sure how to handle this, what do you guys think? Disable the buffs for combat related skill capes in the wilderness, or keep them?
Besides this, we have our holiday events coming up as well, and we will be releasing parts of that here shortly.
I've fixed and refixed so many bugs lately I haven't kept track of all the changes I've been making, but here are some things I remember doing:
Welp, that's about it, folks.
If you know of bugs or missing content that needs fixed or added, please let me know here in this thread, or on Discord @Dev#6441 ! Thank you!
Client UpdateAs with new aspects comes new clients. Please Update!Note: Delete your old Clients on PC and Android and install the lastest version!(If it does not auto-update)
Happy Gaming, RSCLegacy patrons!
The only thing i dont like is that your giving hat counts. The point of rates is that nobody knows how many are ingame and thats what makes the prices fluctuate. Knowing theres only 10 ingame will make an unfair price. Everything else mentioned is amazing. I just think giving ongame counts is outrageous.
Keep combat capes out of wild. In a few days hold a poll. The anwser will remain the same.
Good work Dev!
Awesome work man! Glad the staff got everything figured out!I posted it on Discord but might as well post it here too. The agility shortcut behind west fally bank needs one of the sides moved a square over, so that you don't accidentally click the wrong side of the wall. Happens more on android, but I've clicked the wrong side on PC too.
